Chestnut Valley Golf Course is named after the American Chestnut Tree and is home to one of the few remaining American Chestnut Trees in the nation. The tree, found between holes 10 and 11, is estimated to be around 125 years old. Though the tree is not as strong as it once was, the course is trying to preserve its namesake and a beloved part of this community.

The 18 hole Par 72 course, with a bonus 19th hole, was built in 1994 and designed by architect Larry Mancour.

In early 2011 Chestnut Valley Holdings, LLC became the new owners of the Chestnut Valley Golf Course.  In 2011 the owner purchased 50 new golf carts,  and lots of new maintenance equipment to keep our course groomed and in optimal playing condition for our customers.  Many comments were made to us about how beautiful the course was being maintained since 2011, so keeping with a higher standard we also did a complete remodel to meet our customer's expectations. Come check out the newly remodeled bar and restaurant!

Providing the best golf and casual dining experience in Northern Michigan is always our goal! Our friendly staff awaits your arrival for a great round of golf, or just to sit and enjoy beautiful Northern Michigan from our fabulous deck overlooking our pristine Championship course.
